North was delighted to win a prestigious 'Distinctly Delicious' Award at this year's fabulous Darlington Food Festival! Beating stiff competition our Lemon & Lemon Sea Salt - a creamy, dreamy, delicate concoction with a hint of tang from the citrus salt - was a hit not only with our customers but with the judging panel!

North East chocolate goes flying off to Prague this month as North is announced as the official chocolatier to the fantastic Fringe Festival, now in its 15th year. A fantastic win at the Newcastle Business Awards for 'Artisan Producer of the Year' took North by delighted surprise. Bev had even took her cagoule and mittens off for the event and thankfully didn't have to make a speech. Huge thanks to all of those who have supported North, all the gorgeous messages we received and to The Beacon in Newcastle for the beast of an award which is a corker!

North has done it again! In a recent round up of the best Easter treats the North East region has to offer The Journal's taste test team awarded our Family Easter Hamper top marks - 5/5 - beating Betty's of Harrogate no less! Describing it as "the perfect Easter gift for any age,” read the whole piece here. 

North has won The Journal's (Dec 6th) Festive Chocolate Selection, beating stiff competition with our Angel Christmas Hamper! We're cock-a-hoop as no doubt the Angel would say, with comments such as: 'Definitely my favourite', 'the chocolate was glossy and dark and had a beautiful 'snap' with subtle flavours that play on the palette' and 'Luxurious with very high quality dark chocolate'. It's just made our Christmas...

While Hurricane Bertha was blowing a gale at Newcastle's EAT! Food Hero Festival owner of North, Bev Stephenson, was blown away both metaphorically and literally when she was presented with the 'Best in Show' for her Ginger & Toasted Fennel dark chocolate bar. Some customers were so delighted they demanded she had her picture taken with their dog. The heady heights of chocolate fame...
